The Economy meter reflects fuel injector activity. Sounds like a fuel delivery problem, and could be several things, among them a clogged fuel filter or a dying fuel pump or bad fuel pump relay.

The only way to test the "radio" is to replace it AFAIK.

Not sayin' it's inferior, but some off-branded elements have been shown to deteriorate and come apart. Might want to pull it at 3k for an inspection.

Sometimes the rotors can get contaminated with brake pad residue. Have the mechanic pull the front wheels and examine the rotor surfaces.

Might try this, too: Make 3-4 agressive stops from 50 MPH....
