Agreed. But the problem is BMW will not supply any parts for diffs, only complete units. So if you needed to replace the back plate gasket when refitting for example, you might be in difficulties...

There's no such thing as a hubcentric 5mm. They're too small and allow the remaining portion of the existing hub flange to be used. AFAIR hubcentrics start from 10mm upwards...

Spacers will have no effect at all on ride quality. If you want a softer ride, you should consider downsizing to 18" wheels with non-runflat tires...
