I am talking about the upper timing chain covers. Where are the solenoid flanges?? I understand to do the upper timing chain covers you do the valve covers too. But I don't know about the solenoid...

How many hours to replace seals on 540i front engine covers...

My indy figures about 18 hours to reseal front engine covers (timing chain front covers) including of course the vale cover gaskets too. Sound reasonable? Over 2 days labor? This is for the V8 540i

My 540i 6speed came with M-Pars the PO installed. He mounted 265/40 18's in the rear & 235/40 18's in the front. I didn't think anything of it at the time. But not long ago I had to replace the rears...

E39 are easily one of the most user friendly autos ever. From one-touch window switches to individual driver memory of a/c, seat position, mirror position etc. the cars are just a pleasure to drive....
