Pinecone, I'm not sure what you mean by "S5/6". I'll work on your suggestion about doing a slight lift when shifting.

I should add the M3 is a 2006 and the SMG fluid was replaced with Red Line.

Have found that SMG II is not suitable for HPDE track days.
Even on its fastest setting, SMG II change gears too slowly to have a smooth down or up shift. And when it does shift it is abrupt and...
