All plugs have been replaced so I'll move on to the fuel and air filters and see were that gets me. But it still baffles me why that check engine light hasnt popped on yet:tsk:

One speed SLOW!!!!

Just one more problem to add to the list. (I love it. I'll get this car fixed come hell or high water) Blower inside my 1999 323ic blows only one speed, Yep slow:tsk: I changed the cabin air filter....

Ok so I swapped out the coil packs on #5 and #6 cylinders. I'll let you all know what happens. I'm hoping it comes down to a bad coil pack.

Ok so my 1999 323ic threw the P0306 engine code. I changed all spark plugs reset the code and went for a good day then pop back on. Should I go for the coil pack next or what? Any suggestions?...

Coolant level for changing T-Stat

We're getting ready to change the thermostat on my sons 99 323ic and was wondering how much coolant needs to be drained from the system. Will draining the radiator be enough to bring the level below...

Should I purchase the entire thermostat housing with the thermostat or just the thermostat itself? I notice some sites offer both but I wasn't sure if on the E36 the thermostat is part of the housing.

You're right sensei I do have much to learn. So the P0125 code could also be a bad coolant float. Ill check that. It seems like it would be easier to change that than to change the coolant temp...

Coolant temp sensor

I own a 1999 323ic that is throwing a P0125 code. Now my understanding is that it could be low coolant level, thermostat, or the ECT or engine coolant temp sensor. I believe the thermostat is ok...
