There are better water pumps now with metal...

There are better water pumps now with metal impellers. The best water pump is the Stewart water pump. That will never fail but would probably be overkill in your situation. Same with radiators....

By mileage you don't. By time I say yes. It's 16 year old fluid. Change it now, and at 2400 miles every 2 years, you will never have to do it again. I put Amsoil in mine and it's been great.
