I replaced my shocks last year as my springs were broken and I can only assume you did not torq your mounting nuts enough, from your diagram on pic #3, it is pretty straightforward on how to put it...

Should be 13.6 for FLA and 14.5Volt+/- for AGM battery, if so alternator is good.
