Hey, you can back off of the factory negative CAMBER and toe in specs to the more minimum of the range. I tried that on a set of my Mich. super sports and go better wear patterns and pretty much same...

E39 Touring "ride height"

Easy out>> let a qualified tech who knows single axle EHC BMW's do this work with the use of the BMW DIS/MoDiC which can act as a diagnostic on the ride height and set the height for alignment work...

OK, now for the answer to my own question above

Forget the pipe brackets....there are none. On my car (automatic) the heat exchanger is fixed tight with 2- 13mm Hex about 20 mm long. Go to the drivers side rear top of the HE with a mirror and ligt...

Hard to tell root cause of a problem like a chain rail guide chipping, breaking up, from a code that could indicate anything from a solenoid to a sensor to a vac leak.
