OK, thanks for the suggestions but they didn't work for me. I'm convinced that the gauge has stopped functioning as a result of rather hard cornering etc, not an electrical confusion/malfunction...

OK then, maybe someone else may know more? I understand that there are two level sensors, one to measure half to full tank (left hand sensor) and one to measure half to emtpy (right hand sensor)....
