Years ago a wise person pointed out brake pads cost $100-300 whereas you could spend $3000 rebuilding a tranny.

Obviously exceptions apply.

On my '00 M if the cap on the round 20ish pin gizmo ( this early onset stuff is a bummer) on the rear passenger side of the engine compt is not fastened/closed I would not get a reading from the obd...

Try a "reverse bleed"...fill an oil can with brake fluid and pump fluid "up" the bleed nipple. Obviously that oil can becomes a "dedicated" device.

Found Budget charges $1750 for the rental ..... and a 15 or 16 ft dual axle is $2150 or so new.....so looks like a new trailer and then sell it if necessary.

My friendly Vanc dealer had the relay for $140 or so..the dealer in the US supplied on for $46 or so...an easy dig into the footwell area, remove old, replace with new....

Long tow for a Z3M Coupe

I will be doing a cross county tow of my MCoupe next summer..need advice about a flat tow, dolly tow...etc. Behind a SUV.

I imported my '00 Z3MCoupe from the US in 2005 and got dinged the 6% at thew border...then received a refund.

At that time the BMW USA people were very approachable and they faxed me a letter...

I think I am in need of new cats...serious "pebbles in a can" rattle when starting from cold...goes away when the engine warms up. Comes from under the driver's door. No problems so far with...

Zedhead...have you looked into getting the duty refunded...I did (albeit 5yrs ago ) on a '00 Z3...at that point they were all built in the US...regardless of W designation.
