I think the LED lights are slightly brighter (we have a MB with LED lights and they do look a little brighter) but not by much. If you don't care about all the adaptive stuff, get the HID.

Yes, I did that. Ordered it from my dealer here in AZ, then flew to SC and picked it up from there and drove it home. It was a blast, I would definitely recommend doing it if you can.
