The good thing is if and when you find a really good manual car if you keep looking after you purchase his auto, you shouldn't lose anything in the transfer if you clean the car up good.

I know my S54 engine had issues like that at cold start until I cleaned out the ICV. Once that was decontaminated from carbon deposits, the engine ran gold.

Not sure if the M54 has this issue....
