Got it. I assumed it would be pretty straighforward but wasn't totally sure. 4ohms resistance = good signal = replace sub. Not 4ohm = bad signal = bad L7.

It's one bulb. If the angels were the original OEM, you should upgrade both sides. I just replaced mine with the Umnitza Ice V5s. They are a good upgrade at a great price.
