Allan, have you replaced the bridge seal adapter yet? If not, I would replace the seal and fluid and see if that fixes the issue before replacing mechtronics

Thanks for the feedback. I also noticed that I can drive my 2006 750i in manual mode. I think a rebuilt valve body is needed and not a whole transmission.[emoji106]

I should have been more clear. The seal is under the alternator bracket. It is plastic and cracks which leads to a big oil leak. This is on the e65's. Is that what you have?

Thanks for your input. I'm told that the tranny are bullet proof and my symptoms point to a rebuild on the mechtronics. I also have a 2004 745i with 162000 and the mechtronics is fine.
