I would expect a rebuild to last almost as long as a new one. 100K plus. Why would you spend the money to rebuild one if you were only going to get half the life?

Not necessarily. Much more likely that this leak is from the OFHG (oil filter housing gasket), a well known issue on these cars. Since it it directly above the oil pan, many mistake it for an oil...

I'm sure Prestone would tell you that their coolant is 'sufficient'. Doesn't mean it is the correct coolant.

This issue has been debated for years and nothing has changed. Use the correct G-48...
