Of course you could go with different brands of runflats and they may be lighter than other...

BMWs are notoriously sensitive to dying batteries.
Also you should invest in BMW-specific OBD...

Not sure that I can help--DSX and folks like him could help you much better with this--but I can say that an "internally failed" oil filter housing gasket can lead to oil and coolant mixing....

These engines are finicky.

I've been running the PSS--very good and actually higher performance (in the dry) than the PS2s. Also better wear ratings....

Porsche and Chevrolet has the 7-speed manuals, with defeatable rev-matching. I'd say it's definitely a niche technology now but the state of the art is still (slowly) advancing.
