Installed the gas repair kit yesterday. Upon removal the original DISA looked like NEW at 170000 miles. Everything was super tight, no play anywhere. Go figure...

Do you have INPA by chance? I recall you can access ABS module. There might be some check marks to play with there.
Just brainstorming. Not sure if there is a "disabling " function there.

It's like a puzzle inside , many little parts that Are inserted into each other. There was one specific component that's prone to breaking .

First, you need a need key ordered from the BMW dealer. I would not attempt to change the battery, IMHO its not worth it, just get a new key.

I feel your pain. I love working on cars for fun, doing maintenance and predictable repairs but when it falls apart it's no fun :-(

Will be doing my rtabs soon. Waiting for the Rtab tool to arrive. The car is 167K, the rear end has the mind of its own when accelerating and taking corners.

The only idea is to put the car in Jack stands get under it and examine what could be damaged. It does look like the middle section can be damaged, possibly transmission there, fuel lines...

Yes, there is a very simple procedure with the key. It's called "throttle body adaptation reset". It's very simple but you need to google it or watch on YouTube because I have not done it for years...
