+1...BMW has been playing the acronym game and last minute pkg changes for a while now. IMHO if you're leasing, I'd go for the DDC, but if you're more in the purchase-"long haul" camp, I think not...

I would check fuse first, but if that has not blown/still intact, I would say one (or perhaps both) of the lock actuators are short circuited. Is yours E90 ('05-present) or prior E46...
