When I worked for a GM company back in 98 we used to cut rotors all the time...it was called resurfacing, but the term cut was the short word, not sure if that's what's meant here.

That's how the 4.6is is over the 4.4i in the X5 of the same year, plus longer stroke. I think VAC Motorsports sells the kit....

DSC cannot overcome the laws of physics, so anything extreme and you're on your own.
Are you still doing drifts in a 520?

I don't think the car "knows" other than a reset.
All it can do is measure what's in there and tell you how bad it's getting based on driving habits.
