Cool-so when mine are shot you can shoot down here and help me with the replacement. Im still ok cause my engine is still quiet and running good. But its nice to know this job can be accomplished diy.

540i for under $1,000 and runs and drives - m62 v8 is a unbelievable and durable motor pushing 282 hp enough and easy to work on with tons of parts cars out there to source replacement parts

I'm thinking the Mobil 1 0w40 did the guides in - nah I'm just joking. Ever since I owned my 540i I have used 0w30 Castrol euro and stand by the oil this motor will ever drink since I'm the 2nd owner...
