Completely different system as i'm in the UK but that looks like its running rich. HC is hydrocarbons of fuel.

Quite probably the lambda sensor.

It's a 1995 318is M42, complete M3 replica.. 140bhp but feels quicker.

Cheapest one i've ever owned but seems the best runner of the lot...

Total Excellium unleaded is 10 pence more expensive per litre at my local gargage, 97 RON, standard is 118.9p per litre, so premium is 128.9 pence.

Shell V power is 99 octane but is 126.9 pence...
