The saris bones has rubber feet on the bottom of its "legs". Never had scratches from that . Must be careful with the coated hooks, though.

Have had a Saris Bones for years, which has adjusted to fit my 2002 530, 2008 328, my 2011 x3, and now my 2014 X1.

Nowhere near as good as a hitch mount, but it's been solidly carrying my bikes...

Don't even use this as much of the remote app is worthless.

Instead, use google maps and find the "send to car " function. Always works.

Removal of iPhone cradle

Popped off the back console cover very easily.



Then figured out how to disconnect the 2 "antenna" type wires and the big BMW plastic connector with the two other wires.

Makes sense. I think the standard XPEL material was on a roll that was much wider. I am sure the .006" won't obstruct the hatch, but a nice rubber strip (as seen on most SUV's) could be a problem....
