I'm glad I bought my replacement key off Ebay and didn't try to 'simply replace the battery' as the previous owner told me to do. I would have damaged it for sure, at least it is still a good manual...

Good to hear all is OK. I have never owner a diesel car until this one and I also worry about doing the same thing. Mine has a diesel sticker on the filler cap which helps reminds me.

We have just replaced our expansion tank, it had a pin hole leak. Couldn't see it when the engine was cold. We must have been lucky as all went well doing the replacement.....so far.
