He must reeeeeaalllllllyyyyyyy like the 535i, either that or he knows something you don't about the 740il. Have a mechanic check it out before you do the deal.

Turns out it was the expansion tank leaking, along with leaky valve gaskets; thus explaining the oil/coolant mix on the garage floor. Glad it wasn't the head gaskets.

I have a 99 740i that displays the 'check coolant level' light. I noticed a white residue on the fan and some hoses. Almost sure it's colant. It doesn't overheat.

Make sure to take the tag off your microfibers. They can and will scratch. I use a microfiber that's thick/plush and for drying vehicles. Works great.

I've tried countless wheel cleaners. I detail for a living. I use P21S Wheel Gel.

It's expensive, but it works. I can't afford to use an inferior product that might damage a client's wheels.
