Oil pan replacement ?

Anyone replace oil pan on 325e? Looking for tips from someone that's been there. Thought just support engine a few inches high after disconnecting drive shaft and manifold. Better ideas anyone.

New to the E30 community. Have an E46 but couldn't pass on the E30 deal for a project / rebuild. I am trying to get the sunroof closed though and can't due to what I have discovered to be a broken...
