I would start from fuel filter and then eventually fuel pump. As precaution, add bottle of water remover from gas into fuel tank, fuel up on other more trusted gas station and try again ; )

Well it's difficult to find one e46 replacement.
So if i can keep 2 cars, i would choose C250 coupe to drive to work and WRX or STI for other occasions including snow storms.
