Thanks for posting feedback, that will indeed help the next guy. Most top problems are related to the wire loom in the trunk or above the driver, so a documented solution via the ignition switch...

I wouldn't be surprised if the light was set off by a lean code, in turn set off by a soft fail fuel pump. Now it's completely dead. The battery drain is a peripheral issue.
