You remove the plastic under the left front wheel arch and the sensor is there, like a long pen. I replaced mine last year and it still reads -40oC - am guessing there is some reset to be done on it....

Could be a faulty thermostat or an airlock in the system, or your engine cooling fan. I would suggest taking the car to a service centre and having the cooling system properly drained and refilled....
