i think the brushed aluminium makes it look alot more modern, and also gives it alot more contrast esp on a dark interior..the CF makes it blend in too much as much as i love CF..

I agree with all of the above..stay with your original wheels, I have never thought the M3 wheels looked good on an e39 no matter what colour or bumpers are added..

also don't remove the trim,...
