Driver door CA handle would not lock when pressed, unlike the front passenger door. Nice feature, no need to use the buttons on the key.
BMW SA confirmed the problem with the driver door CA handle...

My bad weather is all rain and a few times it's been in the low-30's - no problems.
Probably wiser to go with the DWS for your setup.

The repairs are under warranty so no cost to you but time.....just make sure they fix it properly. When they complete it, take it out for a test...

It's a big jump to go from a 3 to a 7 - make sure to try every feature in the 7 and get anything that's not functioning repaired ASAP by the dealer.

2008 was the last model year for e65/e66 style, so in theory it should be a bit better reliability-wise, xfingers.
