I have almost the same problem, it happens only when it is shifting from 2nd to 3rd and when I am driving slow or moderate, if I slam it the changes are smooth. Could it be the same as th above???...

About your question, nope is closing fine, a little hard on the hinges but that's it. Maybe a lube is needed.
