Did you make sure you didn't mess up the vacuum line that runs to it? Pretty sure that has something to do with the check valve on the return side.

Since the transmission is "new" it could be more than fluid. I wonder if it was rebuilt or just a used one from a donor car. I'd still change the fluid and filter, but it could be bad news.

Sounds like a head gasket, but it COULD be the ATF cooler. Coolant flows from the expansion tank to it. While rare, it does happen. See if your trans fluid has any coolant in it.

Depends if you have a ZF or GM gear box. Bavarian Auto sells both the factory fills. I had good success with Maxlife ATF in my GM box.

Flickering red oil light means your oil pressure is below 7psi. That is LOW. Good way to grenade your motor. Not sure a cam chain tensioner will fix it......

Could be as simple as a bad oil...

I had the same problem in my old 323i. The fluid is likely broken down. "looking at it" won't tell you anything and the filter is likely clogged some.

Change the fluid and filter. It SHOULD fix...
