The specific function is disabled if a wheel speed sensor is broken. Since you have one or more broken the ABS + ASC/DSC is disabled and they can't cause any erratic behavior at all unless the issue...

Yes, it's normal. For saving some fuel the RPM is reduced to minimum when engine power is not needed. And it's raising it back when depressing the clutch.

if the ccv is ok then the other suspicious area is the y joint of the dipstick guide tube. That can be clogged too in case of cold weather...

Is everything ok with the ccv? Engine is eating this much oil when the ccv is clogged and the oil vapor goes into the intake manifold instead of the oil pan.

Day time running lights can be turned off by programming. But I wouldn't expect the inner lights to be the DRL. Your car might have a unique wiring by previous owner or a failing LCM.

Of course it never hurts to check the ground cable from engine to chassis. But the ground I was referring to is in the instrument cluster. This measures the fuel level the same way as the engine...

I think it's the fuel pump that messes up both the fuel level and the engine temperature measurement since these sensors use the same ground in the instrument cluster and one of the fuel level...

Regarding costs. An $18k car loses $5k in 2 years. It's amortization only regardless...
