Jesse, you could also go the other direction and leave the resonators in and remove the mufflers. The resonators really help to get rid of drone so you're left with a nice exhaust that doesn't drone...

Why??? The E36 is already biased towards understeer, you're just going to exacerbate that more. The E36 works wonderfully with a square setup, there's no benefit to staggered.
