I think that those that can help you need more information. 6 or 8 cylinder? Better orientation of the connectors you are referring to. Very difficult to determine location from your pic.

Maybe cam position sensor. When mine went bad it also threw a misfire code. Replaced the sensor and cleared the codes. All good.

I bite the bullet and use BMW rotors. Last pair of fronts lasted 100K!!, so I consider that a good value. Never had a bit of vibration attributable to rotors using them.
