Well, I have had "tough" intermittent problems...

Well,
I have had "tough" intermittent problems that the dealer could NOT fix... I had to come up with my own work around - its a long story but it would trigger false transmission program failures....

If you connected the vent - you should be just fine as long as it isnt pinched or what not... They key is there is a way for the battery to exhaust the gases outside of the trunk area. Doesn't hurt...
