Hi y'all!

The clutch in my 540i/6 is threatening to give up life after a mere 195k miles, mainly due to my driving style. Seems like 2nd and 3rd gear drifting is too much for the clutch, together...

I will order the AIT sensor today, but the BOSCH guy said that it would make the engine cut out TOPS, not shut the ECU down itself. :)

The new position sensor measures 1244 ohm. My local parts shop states that the value should be 1400 +/- 10%. A bit out of range, but works just perfectly.

Crankshaft sensors on the other hand...

Yeah, it was 6 brand new BOSCH complete with boots. :) Ground connections from valve cover to coils are also intact.

New CPS will arrive later today. :thumbup:

Hi,

I had the same issue with my E36 Coupé, swapped the cluster, never saw the problem again.

Exactly the same issue, as mentioned. Needles dropping, then catching up again, service status...
