How did you measure 14mpg in the city? I reset the trip indicator today and drove in the city and it comes about 18mpg according to the computer screen. But, I lost about 2 units in fuel gauge...

I'm trying to understand other similar cars have the same MPG just to be sure I 'm not the only one. I have heard even M5's get 10MPG/city so thought it is strange with my car 6 MPG in the city.

If the leak is coming from oil pan, there is a possibility that engine needs to be lifted to seal the leak. Local mechanic should do it for less and $1000, but I remember BMW dealer quoted for $3000.

@campfamily Well then it does not seem to be an SES issue. I saw youtube videos and some 5 series shows SES on start, but some really doesn't show. I guess it must be on specific models (or)...
