I should of said a few cracks...and northern cars vs southern cars? my ac belt was fine, serp was all cracks. Once you are doing the serp, for the cost and peace of mind change both....

Easy fix afterwards, I already ordered new ones after I figured out what has gone on. Double washers have survived the day and a good long drive. Good temp fix.

I did mine today, and found the bolts bottomed...

I did mine today, and found the bolts bottomed out before the torque on the rubber grommets was reached. Doubled up on washers, and achieved the torque values, but I wonder if new rubber washers...

DKL maybe both out alternators are putting a little too much voltage. Been like that for a long time... Replacing/ rebuilding alternator seems drastic for something that does not impact car...

And, if you find the arm, the switch can be reassembled quite easily....overstaffing the trunk with groceries and stuff can make the deck floor bounce up and down, that switch if pushed the wrong way...

Nope, didn't have any issues like that.....closed system like that, should be self bleeding. I do get a delay as it spools up, but it's not 5 seconds, more like 2-3, but, there is a lag.

Part with hyd pump was around 800(tax in) in Waterloo....I replaced the whole thing, not just the motor....was definatly not over 1000 bmw bits....I did not want to go in there again willingly!!
