You might want to look for an OE set that's up for sale. I went with a set of BMW OE 18" tires and wheels for my 19" BMW 550xi. With a discount, it was not cheap new. I went with RFT tires.

Sadly, I do not think BMW has a solution to this nightmare at the moment--or will not in the near future. To maintain it out of warranty would be insane....one part replacement after another.
