I don't think there is an accumulation of additives going on in the sense of distillation.

IIRC, additives are just big chain molecules and should be burned off along with the oil they reside in.

With my car cruising towards the 150k mark, a steady oil loss at about 1qt per 1000 miles has caused me some annoyances. The trouble of losing oil persisted notwithstanding my fixing the OFH gasket...

I think Some members were confused about the mileage of the car. OP bought at 65k, put on 90k, so now it's 155k.

If it was still on the original cooling system, then it was way past due.

It's fine. Same thing happened to me. Being an OEM meant they may have stamped an BMW logo on it, and they need to scratch that when selling it to you.
