Regardless, I wouldn't attempt driving the car until it's fixed. It sounds both serious and dangerous.

Are you sure the odor isn't drifting up from around the gas tank filler area? that's the only gas related area on the passenger side of the car. Everything else is on the driver's side.

Any time your car is leaking an extremely combustible liquid, it's not safe. The fuel lines are on the driver's side of the car, so I don't know why you are smelling gas fumes at the front passenger...
