They definitely fit...not sure about the heated part. I had these on my old 97' 528i, worked really well. Their a fan spray instead of the two little squirters, apples to oranges! :D

You do know you still have to remove the wheel liners and a couple other misc. stuff i can't think of at the moment. The rears on an E39 aren't really difficult, their just a little time consuming...
