Floor Jacks OK?

Can a floor jack be used on an E39 without damaging the underbody? Any suggestions on where to place the lift? Can the front or rear be lifted as well as the sides of the car?

Thanks,

Do you know if 275/30/19's work on 9.5" rims without doing fender work on E39's? Sounds like 265's will work.
