I realize I'm resurrecting a super old thread, but why non-heated? I thought all E46s, particularly post-facelift, had heated outside mirrors for both driver and passenger sides.

I appreciate the response. I did the recalls already, though, and I thought that applied to the tail light assembly rather than the reverse light (on the trunk lid).

If it's dark outside and the headlights are set to auto-on, then shouldn't the headlights adjust up, down, up as soon as the car (and therefore headlights) turned on if the auto-leveling were working?

I thought a long commute, if mostly highway, was actually how most people got to very high mileages. Highway miles aren't that bad if at speed (as opposed to stop and go), no?
