I did. Just lifted around the leather boot area, but didn't remove it.
Lifted up and tried to wiggle a few wires but it wasn't that thorough.

BMW markets the X1 for the under 40 crowd, maybe under 30 crowd.
A "more affordable" model that still maintains the exciting driving experience.
