Choices in 5-spoke style - double spokes fine also. Car has the OEM Ellipsoid 121 staggered set on it now. BTW - the reman'd CIC and wood trim surround you sold me is still going strong - Connected...

Tweaks to L7?

Good thread here. My 650i with retrofitted CIC/Combox gives me but one choice in Logic 7 - on or off. Same car with OEM CCC had two DSP choices - concert hall and ...? can't remember. Anyway, the...

CIC Buttons no longer lit?

I have a pre-LCI car and just like many others, I tapped into the power wire for lights from the hazard switch and ran a wire down to CIC pin 14 to make my CIC buttons backlit just like the others in...

That is one fine looking 650! I wonder if our stock elliptical sport wheels are replicated in 18" sizes? That would be different!

I got started in doing the CIC retrofit, I can say that I learned quite a bit about my car and how it works. I have always been good with a wrench and car stereo installs, but nothing like what my 6...

I started with a Dension 500SBT in my 07 last year. It worked great, both with my OEM CCC and then with a CIC, as you describe, and the additional bluetooth streaming also was great. However, I...

Center Console?

Interesting that BMW has you retrofitting the Aux In jack in the glovebox for both 5's and 6's. My E6x cars have all been 2007 or 2008 and they all had Aux In already. Your 2006 650i US market car...

Treat as a Combox Media

My combox is also a telematics version. Because BMW is unlikely to grant you access to the Assist network with a spoofed CIC and combox, many of us just ignore the two telematics antenna cables that...

Awesome! I think that the music storage partition on the internal HD is far smaller than the full capacity. It stores your nav maps, etc. on there too. Now for a Combox retrofit!

Thumbs up Me too!

I moved my clear (not white) wire out of pin 2 into vacant pin 12 in the car's harness. I then moved the wire (which was not yellow) out of pin 4 and into now-vacant pin 2. I did nothing about the...

Nice find!

So, I would have FBAS 1 for NiVi and FBAS 3 for my cradle-less 6NF, not FBAS...
