How old is your battery? A common cause of the transmission failsafe warning is a battery on its last leg. Have it checked at your local parts store, if you do not have a multi-meter.

T30 is correct. Consider replacing the Torx bolts with hex head bolts to make the job easier the next time. (Hopefully, there is no next time)

Sounds like driver's side cat could be bad. Might pull the plugs on that side to see what they look like and to check for oil in the plug wells - from leaking VCG's.

I had the same scenario at 112K. I would drop the oil pan and check for plastic timing chain guides. I found only one small piece, so I caught it in time and replaced the TCGs.
