I like my Sumitomo A/S P 01 around NC/OH/TN driving. Rated high at Tire Rack and Consumer Reports. Wont burn hole in pocket either.
You being in upstate NY may be enough traction/handling blend in...

I like my A/S P01 Sumitomos on the 525i. I'm up the road from you, and drive monthly over the mountains to K'ville. They're a "W" rated tire, and more agressive design than the Z111s, but not noisy. ...

Front plate

Front plates are not required here in NC., so I mounted an aftermarket holder on the towhook located on passenger side of my 525. The symmetry doesn't bother me, and I think it sets-off my special...

Starting to need repairs on my 525 now, and plan on using V12 in Indian Trail, BCH or MBV(they're listed in BMW friendly list). Anyone have good/bad experience with any in area??

2007 525i w/87k. So far only rear brakes, oild changes, cabin /air filters and wiper blades. Fingers crossed for another 86K. Hwy fuel economy in 25-29 range under 75. Will replace battery and front...

May be bad wording in header, but why did BMW go to using a computer to report oil.trans levels, brake condition, etc etc. Maybe it's me being more old school, but was just wondering why the creation...

Make sure that if you are only replacing front tires, you buy same design and speed rating Michelins or any tire manufacturer you are trying to match up. Then try to figure why you wore out the front...

Since my 525 is going on 4+ years, and I don't have much hard evidence of its maintenance history, I though tI'd check out the battery. As you can see it's a whitetop, and has BMW logo with an Exide...
