Glad it's not the head gasket. I replaced the valve cover gaskets 2 years ago. The external one shows no leaks so I expected no leaks at the spark plug wells...

I don't see why it would affect the coils. Whenever I change fuel filter it clears up in seconds not miles.

Oddly enough my colleague had a similar story with his M3 smg transmission regarding the uncertainty of the mechanic but he always takes it to the dealer.
They kept replacing parts, the only logic...

ABS lights are not for brake pads. There is a specific yellow warning light for brake pad wear.

And there are 2 brake pad sensors, one in the front left and one in the rear right.

By the way I hate "longlife".
My E39 was dealer serviced (long oil change interval) until 130k...
